On Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 5 PM, Grammy-winning guitarist Jason Vieaux and internationally acclaimed composer, bandoneónist, and accordionist Julien Labro join forces for a performance on the Robbie Collomore Concert Series at the Chester Meeting House (4 Liberty Street, Chester, CT). Following their triumph at this summer’s Caramoor Festival in New York, Vieaux and Labro are hitting the road for a series of performances this fall, celebrating the success of their second album, Infusion, on Azica Records. The innovative duo's tour program features three exhilarating works from the album -- Labro's arrangements of Piazzolla’s Escualo and Gnattali’s Suite Retratos, and Vieaux’s arrangement of Pat Metheny’s Antonia -- as well as Rossen Balkanski’s Prelude and Scherzo and Labro’s arrangement of Arvo Pärt’s Fratres. Vieaux and Labro's high-energy, engaging performances weave together arranged and original material, epitomizing Vieaux and Labro’s versatility – each simultaneously wearing multiple hats as composer, performer, improviser, and arranger. Tickets for their Chester concert are $28, adult; $5, student; and can be purchased online at www.collomoreconcerts.org.
