The 27th American Mandolin & Guitar Summer School will be held June 24-29, 2019, on the beautiful waterfront campus of Roger Williams University in Bristol RI. Our program is geared to classical guitarists and mandolinists who read music and want develop their musicianship, the ability to move beyond merely playing correct notes to actually interpreting music– Classical, Brazilian, Baroque– with skill, passion, and an ear for appropriate performance practice. Our students participate in daily technique classes, an all-school plucked-string orchestra, a small chamber ensemble coached by our esteemed faculty, plus workshops and informal music sessions.
