Jamie has been performing, teaching, recording and producing in Connecticut for over 30 years. He began his guitar career as a rock musician trained in jazz and eventually received a bachelor’s degree in classical guitar performance from the Hartt College of Music. There he performed many solo concerts along with ensemble work and had several master classes with Oscar Ghiglia and Sharon Isbin.

After school Jamie performed in several original rock bands throughout the Northeast releasing six albums and enjoying chart success. Along with writing and producing original music he became the house guitarist/bassist at Studio .45 in Hartford for 10 years and recorded on dozens of songs for various artists as well as recording in N.Y.C. and L.A. During this time Jamie became a songwriting partner with platinum songwriter Holly Knight and wrote many songs together for other artists.

Sherstudios was started in 1999 and is where Jamie teaches full time guitar, bass, banjo 4/5 string, mandolin, dobro, ukulele, lap steel and Turkish Oud lessons along with composition and voice coaching. Sherstudios  is also a full digital recording studio where full bands and solo artists have recorded and released albums through the years produced by Jamie

Currently Jamie performs with Vinyl Revolution, Cool Cats Jazz Band along with various solo classical performances and weddings. Musical Theatre is somewhere he can use his multi-instrumental talents and is the current house guitarist/bassist at Seven Angels Theatre and the Connecticut Cabaret Theatre as well as shows at Goodspeed Opera House, Long Wharf Theatre and Spirits of Broadway.
